A Hemet man died in a single-vehicle traffic collision in Menifee on Sept. 11, police said.
The 61-year-old male, whose name has not been released, was found in a Kia Sportage with minor damage on Domenigoni Parkway east of Laguna Vista Drive at 5:15 a.m., according to a Menifee Police Department press release. CAL FIRE and AMR first responders performed aid and transported the man to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation determined that the vehicle was traveling east on Domenigoni Parkway at an unknown speed when it crossed over the concrete center median and came to rest in the westbound lanes. The driver was unresponsive when found and possibly suffered a medical emergency. There is no suspicion of alcohol or drugs as a factor.
