Today I saw a couple of sales guys for LA Fitness along Newport Rd, off of Bradley. They told me that LA Fitness is going into Countryside Marketplace, next to the Target, and should open in October.

  1. I've been waiting to see when this was actually going to happen...excited to see it will be very soon!

  2. I had heard that 24 Hour Fitness was moving into the soon to be vacant Target store, is that still going to happen?

  3. I hope so...I have a membership.

  4. Thats totally different than everything Ive herd - but lets hope its true! The ContrySide Market place map does nto sho any gym next to Target. Reports do state that an LA fitness was going in across the street by Yellow Basket.

  5. It's a fact, LA Fitness in the Menifee shopping center located off of Newport. Check out this website: http://www.strategicretailadvisor.com/SRA_Projects_Page/projects/pdfs/brochure_countryside.pdf

  8. none of those sites except the first one shows a Fitness club - however - the more recent site pan shows the Staples etc where the "Health Club" spot is. So where exactly is the LA Fitness going? I drove by and saw no sign or a building by Lowes for it. I'm curious as to where the orignal poster saw the sign?

  9. According to that site it across the street.

  10. I saw this in the market place blog..

"Called LA Fitness corp today. Yes, the new fitness center is an LA Fitness, going-in next to Lowes. Take a look at the building; the sign is up! LA FITNESS. "

If this the case its going to be a small one. The one in the link above was showing a 40,000 sqft building the building next to target is in the 20,000sgft range. It will be a small one compared to most other LA fitness locations, which will would be a disapointment.

  11. are we getting a walmart also???

    ReplyDelete
  12. does anyone know if we are getting a walmart here soon

    ReplyDelete
  13. Supposly we're getting a Walmart on Scott Road by either the nursery or on Antelope Rd. Watch out though , the anti-Walmart people don't want it here because it will make their Menifee Lakes homes go down the drain-lol.

  14. Walamrt - yes - its going on corner by Haun & Scott.

I drove down haun today being nosy at the shop and saw NO LA Fitness sign nor a building by Lowes for it.

  15. Folks, before you purchase an LA Fitness membership, with the hopes it will be built in Menifee, ensure you get PROOF from the salesperson that the facility will actually be built in Menifee. There is alot of conflicting information on different Menifee websites stating that an LA Fitness club will be built here.
Here is the latest locations I've read about on these websites: near Yellow Basket (behind Union 76), next to the new Super Target, on near Scott and the 215, on the vacant lot near NE corner of Newport and 215. It seems all the conflicting information dictates LA Fitness will be built here in Menifee, but does not state where...

  16. Menifee Lakes homes have already gone down the drain with the housing market crash... I don't think a Walmart would do much to change THAT situation!

  17. heres a link to see where the shopping center is with LA Fitness across from Countryside. Not sure the total accuracy of it as there is some odd things on it. Will also show all the Walmart Fresh & easy etc. Shows a 24 hour fitness up in Sun City

  18. L.A. Fitness has falsely mislead people in other communities, promising them that theirs a gym coming to their area hoping to get them to sign up. Theres hundreds of stories on Fraud.com. Don't fall victim, cancelling their membership is another nightmare in it self.

  19. I bought a membership to LA Fitness over two years ago because they said they were opening one up here...yeah, right...I'll believe it when they open the doors.

  20. There is a new LA fitness that is almost finished at Scott Rd. / 215 by albertsons...

    ReplyDelete
  21. That is not an LA Fitness. The LA Fitness is supposed to be built off of Newport across from the Countryside Marketplace behind the 76 station and not until next year.

  22. Hey guys, The LA Fitness is being built on Antelope rd and Scott rd, across from Albertsons. The 24 Hour fitness is suppose to be going in the old target. LA Fitness is for sure go by and check it out as far as 24 Fitness not 100%..

  23. If you must know...its going to be off of Newport & Haun....across from the current Countryside Marketbplace....this coming from an actual employee with the company...as far as a date...that is still TBD (to be determined)...but honestly if I was most of you...I'd take advantage of getting low rates now...then waiting...thats just my suggestion...due to the high demand...the memberships sold around that particular time...wont be pleasent...

  24. What's wrong with Menifee Valley Athletic Club? Is there really an advantage to a big chain club?

About the Wal-Mart, it's funny...people were all up in arms about the one that was built in Temecula and look at it now. That store is always packed.

  25. MVAC CHARGES 3 TIMES THE AMOUNT THE OTHER CLUBS CHG. AND WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU COULD DO CARDIO WITH A FRIEND? THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH EQUIPEMENT.

  26. Thanks for the tip on loopnet.com that is a super informative website. Check it out for yourshelves!! Re: the Gym debate. It shows only homes and a civic center across from the new Targe center.
I too have spoke w/ people I know at both L.A. fitness and 24 hour fitness, of which I am a member. And the gym was planned for the old Target building but do to the economy the backed out. I also check their respective websites and neither one has any info. on clubs opening soon.
I did see someone's post that LA fitness was going up by Scott Road, but if that is the case why is it not on their website by now?

  27. Hey as for Menifee Valley Athletic Club goes...it is a great gym. The staff is great and very friendly. It feels like a "cheer" environment because they always greet you with a smile and because I am a long time member they greet me by name. I can always get my workout done without having to wait forever for someone to wakeup from sleeping on a piece of equipment...you all know what I mean!! They have an awesome group x schedule and Zumba is just the bomb!! They also have a belly dancing class which is amazing! Come check it out it is an awesome place to workout! Shelley
