October is generally accepted as "National Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month", where pet businesses make an extra effort to encourage Americans to adopt a lonely dog instead of buying a puppy.Labels: Animal-Shelters
I'd just like to say, I agree with Steve...there are many wonderful pets waiting to be adopted...my son works for the Sun City K9 Dog rescue and there are so many dogs..many already housebroken and obediance trained....occasionally they get puppies also so if you are thinking of a canine companion, please consider one of these worthwhile organizations...they also greatly need donations, either money or dog food, blankets, etc.

Please Note: Menifee Valley Humane Society is an all volunteer animal rescue group and we foster animals in our homes until they are adopted. We do not have a physical shelter and are limited as to what we can take in. We are non profit and function soley from donations. Thank You
