Two new ramp loops open in Scott Road Interchange

The next big step toward completion of the Scott Road 215 Freeway Interchange took place today when the southbound on-ramp loop and the northbound off-ramp loop opened to motorists.

The southbound on-ramp loop eliminates the need for westbound motorists on the Scott Road bridge to turn left and enter the old southbound on-ramp. However, motorists traveling eastbound on Scott Road will temporarily have to turn left to enter the same ramp loop, because the old southbound on-ramp will be closed for construction during the next stage of the project.

Motorists exiting the northbound freeway lanes at Scott Road will now take a looping ramp under the bridge and back onto Scott Road.

Crew will finish re-striping the northbound freeway lanes tonight and will do the same to the southbound lanes Friday night and Monday through Thursday next week.
