More than a year after their installation was approved by City of Menifee officials, traffic signals at two busy intersections in town finally are getting their lights.
The intersection of Bradley Road and Holland Road (above), just a couple blocks from Paloma Valley High School, has been a busy and difficult intersection for motorists, especially before and after school. Electrical for the lights was installed several weeks ago, but installation was delayed while awaiting the light poles, according to City Manager Rob Johnson.
Finally this week, the signals at that intersection are up and working. At the same time, signals are going up at the intersection of Menifee Road and Aldergate Drive, adjacent to Freedom Crest Elementary School.
The third intersection approved for signals in July 2014 was at Antelope Road and Garbani Road, where several accidents have been reported in recent years. Work has not yet begun there.
