An at-risk young adult who was reported missing this morning was located at 5:30 p.m. by Wildomar Police officers.

According to police, officers were dispatched to a prowler call in the 21000 block of Amethyst in Wildomar. At the residence, they located 19-year-old David Soto in good health. After receiving a quick medical checkup, he was reunited with his family.

Sheriff's deputies originally responded to a missing person call at 7:30 a.m. Soto had disappeared from his residence in the 35000 block of Chloe Court in Wildomar. According to police, he has the mental capacity of a 15-year-old and normally wears a GPS tracking device; however, it was removed Thursday night for maintenance.

Soto has wandered off before. On Nov. 8, 2013, he was found in the hills above Wildomar after a three-day search.

Wildomar Police Department officials thanked the volunteers and community members that assisted with the search.
