Miguel Campos has been visualizing opening a restaurant of his own for many years, so when the Breakfast House opened on Scott Road in Menifee in March, it was truly a dream come true. Campos designed this family style establishment from the ground up; every detail from the décor to the menu was precisely planned and executed.
With 25 years of cooking experience, Campos acts as executive chef while his family, including his wife, three daughters, and three sons, run the front side of house operations.
“We are very happy to work together,” Campos said.
Although the Breakfast House Los Tejabanes specializes in Mexican fare, they also feature an extensive menu, offering everything from breakfast favorites to comfort food classics and craveable appetizers to kid friendly entrees. The idea was to have something for everyone, ensuring the whole family could come in and dine together for a reasonable price.
They make what people like to eat, and therefore assure hungry patrons they can order anything off the menu any time they like. Breakfast is served all day, as are lunch and dinner.
You can stop in Monday through Thursday and fill up on two pancakes, one egg, and your choice of sausage or bacon for only $2.99. Enjoy happy hour specials daily from 3 p.m. to closing, including "buy one, get one half off" drink deals. From 4 to 7 p.m., appetizers are half off too.
Celebrate Taco Tuesday with 99-cent tacos. Choose from chicken, carne asada, or carnitas, each topped with chopped cilantro and onion and served with a side of salsa.
They’ve only been open for business for five months but already Campos states with certainty, “We like Menifee and we love the people. It’s a really good neighborhood (to be a part of).”
