A Weekend of Remembrance for Donovan Adams

This past weekend several events were held across Menifee in order to raise money for the family of 19 year old Donovan Adams, who passed away in a car accident June 6th.

Due to Donovan’s love for football, a pickup game was held on Friday, June 15th in his honor. Hundreds of student came to Patriot Park in Perris to play the game or cheer on their peers.

A moment of silence was held at the Heritage High graduation on June 9th for Donovan, as well as the two seniors who missed the ceremony and are still recovering from the accident in the hospital.

On Saturday, June 16th a hike was held to travel up Heritage Hill. Friends and family members who embarked on this trip carried a cross up the hill to place in Donovan’s memory.

Later that evening, a public memorial was held at Heritage High School. This gave a sense of finality to the remembrance events and allowed Donovan’s loved ones to share their stories and memories, as well as donate to the Adam’s family through t-shirts, Henna tattoos of his name, and a bake sale.

If you missed these events and would still like to donate to Donovan’s family, you can do so through this website.

There will also be a car wash at Heritage High School on Saturday, June 23rd from 7am-12pm for $5 per car. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
