Liberty High School junior Morgyn Young was recently honored by the Riverside County Bar Association as a Citizen of the Year from her school – one of only nine students honored in Riverside County.

Schools have the option of nominating a junior for the Good Citizenship Award. The program was held May 2 at the Riverside County Court House.

According to the county website, the Good Citizenship Awards Program was established in 1981. The annual awards recognize high school students from around the county for their good citizenship and are part of RCBA’s celebration of Law Day.

Here Morgyn poses with Liberty principal Dr. Erika Tejeda.
