The Menifee City Council last week approved an expenditure of $235,940 in design services for a pedestrian bridge connecting the commercial center on the west side of Haun Road with Central Park and the amenities of Menifee Town Center.
The bridge would span the Paloma Wash at an area just south of the Sonic Drive-In. According to a city document, “The Project would consist of installation of a prefabricated weathered steel truss bridge, concrete abutments, retaining walls, concrete ADA ramps, and concrete walkways. The Project would also incorporate lighting and architectural features that aid in making the bridge a desired visual destination.”
We need a bridge .yes . But not there . We need one that crosses the freeway by the college. To the shopping center . That way we can walk across and the college students can too .it would cut down on the traffic crossing the bridge .it has taken me 30 minutes just to drive across it .the bridge you are building could just be a pathway with a small bridge for a hole lot less .why is the newer houses getting special stuff we have been here longer.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't they put in a proper parking lot? The city it trying to push events to this park, which has no parking. You have people parking in the field next door with no organization or control.
