Members of the Paloma Valley High School boys wrestling team celebrate another victory.

The boys wrestling teams at Paloma Valley and Heritage high schools won their first-round team matches in the CIF dual meet championships on Tuesday.

Paloma Valley scored a 33-30 victory over two-time defending CIF champion Villa Park. The Wildcats, ranked No. 7 in the division, will be at home in the second round Saturday against Servite. Senior Justin Hoover won a 1-0 match to clinch the dual meet victory.

Heritage, ranked No. 7 in Division 6, tied 39-39 with Westlake but advanced on a tiebreaker. The Patriots will wrestle at Corona Del Mar Saturday at 3 p.m.
