Stinson named Menifee Outstanding Citizen of Month

The Menifee City Council honored resident Leslie Stinson as the Outstanding Citizen of the Month at a Dec. 18 City Council Meeting.

Stinson, a longtime Menifee resident who lives in the Sun City community, was recognized for his efforts cleaning up local areas that are frequently used as illegal dumping sites.

"Mr. Stinson is one of those citizens that goes above and beyond for the community," said Mayor Bill Zimmerman. "Nobody asked him to do this and when he was asked why, he said it’s because he loves this city and he wants to give back."

Stinson regularly communicates with the City’s Code Enforcement Division when he encounters illegally discarded items that are too large for him to remove. The City’s Code Enforcement Officers and Public Works professionals work diligently to clean these areas up quickly.

The City of Menifee would like to extend a thank you to Mr. Stinson and all of our residents who share their skills and time to make Menifee a great place to live.
