Heritage High School scored early and cruised to a 33-10 win over Redlands East Valley Friday night in its football home opener.
Kenny Teter scored touchdowns on a 30-yard run and a 47-yard pass reception from Tyler Basham. Those scores, along with a 7-yard scoring run by Adrian Robles, gave the Patriots a 19-0 lead by halftime. Tough defense and more scoring in the second half enabled Heritage to even its season record at 2-2.
Robles also scored two touchdowns in the victory. AC Rondon ran for 100 yards and Teter finished with 95. Next Friday, Heritage has a bye before playing at Santiago High in Corona Sept. 26.
