A skydiver who went down on the roof of a home in Perris died at the scene Monday, authorities said.

Riverside County Fire Department firefighters responded at 2:56 p.m. to the report of a skydiver down. They found one person on the roof of a residence in the 200 block of Caldera Street. Requests were made to an additional firetruck to assist with access to the roof.

The skydiver, an adult male who has not been identified, was pronounced dead the scene. The Sheriff's Department is conducting an investigation but no other details are available at this time.

The house is located west of Goetz Road and south of Ethanac Road on the southern border of Perris. The accident site is near Monument Ranch Park and just a few blocks south of the home on Muir Woods Road where a Perris couple was charged last week with the torture of their 13 children.
