Church of Christ to host blessing of animals

Menifee United Church of Christ will host a blessing of the animals during its 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

The event is held annually in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, known as the patron saint of animals. People are invited to bring their pets to be blessed. If children don't have a pet, they may bring a stuffed animal to be blessed.

"It’s a fun event - for adults, children, and hopefully for the animals," Freeman said.

Menifee United Church of Christ is located at 26701 McCall Blvd. All are welcome.
