The Riverside County Coroner's office has identified the victim in a fatal traffic accident that occurred about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 in Menifee.

Jacob Conte, 29, of Winchester was riding a motorcycle northbound in the 30300 block of Antelope Road when he was struck by the driver of a Nissan sedan that was traveling southbound and turned left in front of him, Deputy Mike Vasquez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said today. There is no traffic signal at the location, which is at the entrance to The Enclave Apartments just north of La Piedra Road.

Conte was pronounced dead at the scene. The 21-year-old male from Riverside who was driving the other vehicle has not been identified. He did not sustain serious injuries and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.

Antelope Road was closed to traffic from Stillwater Drive south to La Piedra Road until 5 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing. No other details are available at this time.

  1. RIP Jacob. Another reason the City should spend more time and effort on SAFETY. Menifee is way under the national average for police officers. That will show up in many areas.
