Two people were extricated from a vehicle and transported to a hospital with moderate injuries after a car collided with a pool maintenance truck this afternoon in Menifee.

According to Riverside County Fire officials, the accident occurred about 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Holland Road and Briggs Road. A hazardous materials crew was called on scene because of a spill of muriatic acid. The extrication was complete by 5:08 p.m.
