Latest Menifee Police Checkpoint Results in Three Arrests

Here are the results of the DUI/Driver's License Checkpoint conducted by the Menifee Police Department Saturday night at Highway 74 and Palomar Road:

According to police, a total of 465 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Of those vehicles, 34 vehicles were directed into the secondary inspection/evaluation area, which resulted in the following:

-- 11 drivers were given field sobriety tests
-- 2 DUI-Alcohol suspects were arrested. (Both drivers were under 21 years of age)
-- 0 DUI-Drug impaired suspects were arrested
-- 1 Driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia
-- 9 Drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked
-- 7 vehicles were towed
-- 9 Citations were issued

In addition to the previously mentioned enforcement actions, one driver was arrested for obstructing and delaying deputies at the checkpoint when he refused to submit to the sobriety checkpoint inspection.
