Fatal Winchester Accident Area's 4th Traffic Death of Weekend

A tragic weekend of traffic fatalities in Southwest Riverside County included the death Saturday night of a 27-year-old man in a three-car accident on Domenigoni Parkway at Leon Road in Winchester.

Amos Yang of Banning died at Menifee Valley Medical Center after his vehicle was struck by two others about 10 p.m. Saturday night, according to Cal Fire officials. Three others suffered serious injuries and three had minor injuries from the collision.

Yang's death was the fourth traffic-related death in the area since Friday morning. Kimberly Renteria, 49, died when struck by a semi truck in Murrieta that morning, while a young bicyclist died in the same city after being struck by a car in the afternoon.

Also on Friday, a Costa Mesa man died when his motorcycle collided head-on with another vehicle on Ortega Highway west of Lake Elsinore.
