Menifee 24/7 Halloween Costume Parade, Contest Set for Oct. 30

OK, kids, start working on those Halloween costumes! As a pre-Halloween treat on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Menifee 24/7 will sponsor a costume parade and contest at Wheatfield Park!

The fun begins at 7 p.m. by the flag pole in front of the community center on the Menifee Road side of the park. There will be treats for all and games for the kids. Come have a cup of witches' brew and mingle with the other "ghouls."

Following a parade of those in costume, judges will present awards for the best costumes in various age categories. Whether you're dressed as a cuddly creature or a frightening monster, there's a category for you. Even adults can dress up and enter!

Menifee 24/7 is proud to be the sponsor of what we hope will become an annual event in Menifee. It is planned for Oct. 30 so it doesn't interfere with families' trick or treating plans on Halloween night. This will be a safe environment for children to celebrate a fun tradition.

So save the date -- Oct. 30, the night before Halloween -- at 7 p.m. at Wheatfield Park. We're looking for individuals and businesses interested in donating prizes. If you have questions or if you'd like to volunteer to help out in any way at this event, email us at menifee247info@gmail.com.
