A wildfire spreading rapidly south of Banning has now covered 10,000 acres and still is 0 percent contained, according to Riverside County Fire officials.

At last report, at least 15 structures have been destroyed by the Silver Fire, which was first reported Wednesday afternoon. Evacuation orders now include Poppet Flats, Silent Valley, Twin Pines, Twin Pines Ranch, Vista Grande, Mt. Edna and the south end of Cabazon.

Injuries to two firefighters and one civilian have been reported. Evacuation centers have been set up at Hemet and Beaumont high schools. An animal evacuation center is set up at the San Jacinto Valley Animal campus.

More than 1,000 firefighters are battling the blaze. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
