Latest Menifee DUI Checkpoint Results in 15 Arrests or Citations

Results of the DUI/Driver's License checkpoint conducted by Menifee Police from 7 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. today at Scott Road and Haun Road:

-- 2,040 Vehicles Screened
-- 39 Vehicles sent to secondary inspection
-- 20 Field sobriety tests administered
-- 2 DUI-Alcohol suspects arrested
-- 8 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed
-- 5 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle while suspended/revoked
-- 9 Vehicles towed

Menifee PD will conduct another DUI/Driver's License Checkpoint on Friday, July 5 at an undisclosed location.

  5. Why is it that only 9 vehicles were towed? The numbers don't add up. If a total of 13 were either driving unlicensed or their licenses had been suspended or revoked, and 2 were arrested for DUI then it should have been 15 vehicles. They should have all had their vehicles towed.

    1. The driver is the person that had the problem. If a passenger was able to drive the vehicle then it would not have been towed.

  6. If someone can come pick up your vehicle...they will let them. But I do agree that we need more of these check points to get these idiots off the road.
