Menifee business professionals, residents and employees showed up in greater numbers Wednesday night for the ribbon cutting and Chamber of Commerce mixer celebrating the return of Rancon Real Estate to Menifee.

In a sense, Rancon never really left. The Rancon sign on the business building at 29950 Haun Road has remained during the time Rancon briefly closed its Menifee office, focusing on continuing sales efforts in its Temecula and Murrieta offices. All the office equipment and furniture was still there this week, awaiting Rancon's return to a rejuvenated real estate market in town.

"Ron Hartley, the owner of the building, kept everything the same for us," said Sandy Tyler, vice president of Rancon. "He was instrumental in bringing us back. We've always loved Menifee and it still feels like home here."

Rancon Real Estate was founded in 1971 in Temecula by CEO Dan Stephenson and soon branched out to surrounding communities. Today, Dan's son Darryl Stephenson serves as vice president and general manager and is working hard to expand a Menifee office that serves both residential and commercial real estate needs. In its three offices serving Southwest Riverside County, including the Menifee Valley, Rancon has more than 100 agents.

"We're looking for quality agents to add to our team," Stephenson said. "We're excited to be back here in the same office."

City and Chamber of Commerce officials toured the facility, enjoyed a buffet meal and took part in a raffle of prizes.
