Northbound lanes on Interstate 215 north of Newport Road were closed Sunday morning following a two-car collision that trapped two people inside a vehicle.
Riverside County Fire Department officials freed two adults from the vehicle about 10:15 a.m. A female was transported to a local hospital with moderate to major injuries. The second person was unharmed, fire officials said.
