The following is a message from Ken Dickson for State Assembly:

Many Americans will not go to the polls today. Some of these Americans have lost hope that their vote will make a difference. They have grown tired of false promises, lying politicians, or the effect their vote seem to not have. Looking around and seeing the current economic situation and status of our state, or even our nations it becomes apparent why they would feel this way.

One man who still believes in the process and has already voted today is Ken Dickson. With a full day of celebratory high school commencements to attend as part of the Murrieta Valley School Board, Ken was up early reading up on all measures on the ballot and candidates running throughout his district. “Our divinely ordained and God blessed right to control our own government still exist through our ability to cast our votes“

Ken understands the feelings of many would be voters, Ken says “Too often career politicians have gone to Sacramento or Washington to do good, but they find themselves doing well.” Today America and California are in the midst of some very serious financial deficits. The light at the end of the tunnel looks very dim, especially with the stalemate we seem to find in our government. Ken hopes that the people will say enough is enough and take action, “It’s up to us to make the difference.”  Ken Dickson’s campaign slogan is “We Can, We Must, We Shall Restore California,” believing it is critical for the voting public to unite and have their voices finally be heard.

Ken Dickson is not just a voter today though; he is a candidate for the 67th Assembly district. His name will appear on the same ballots most of you will be casting. Speaking with his campaign supervisor Michael Loeschnig it’s clear they are comfortable with all the work they have done throughout the campaign. “I believe we have reached out to the voters and have gotten our message across, the emails and positive feedback clearly indicates this.” Loeschnig believes that the voter turnout will be surprising higher than and having energized the voter base was key to this. “People want to be heard and want someone who represents them well; someone who puts the constituent’s interest first, Ken is that candidate.” Loeschnig states. In a race that features four other candidates, Ken has stayed above the personal attacks and mudslinging focusing on listening to voters and getting his message out.

In a race that will in fact come down to voter turnout, it will be of greater important to cast a ballot. The direction and future of this state and this nation will be decided by those who do get out to the polls today and in the November general election. Ken says “The secret ballot is a very special responsibility for all Americans. It’s a blessing that should be celebrated, exercised, and must be protected.” In the time when we constantly see negative press coming from our political representative, voters must being to measure candidates by their values, principals, and their integrity. The Ken Dickson campaign feels strongly that it is their time and the voters will prove this to be true.
