The National Weather Service is forecasting a "significant Pacific storm" will likely hit the Southwest Riverside County area beginning Friday evening and lasting through Saturday.
A slight chance of showers is expected for Sunday.
The storm should reach its peak on Saturday however, with strong gusty winds and heavy rainfall reaching 1 to 1.5 inches in the valleys, and 1.5 to 2.5 inches in the mountains. Snow levels is expected to reach the 7,000 foot elevation mark.
