The City of Menifee reports that Southern California Edison must turnoff power in the section of the City bound by Newport Road to the North, Menifee Road to the east, La Piedra to the south and Antelope to the west, which comprises the Menifee Lakes community.
The outage will not affect the Community College.
The outage will extend from 5:00 PM until midnight tonight.
The outage is necessary to avoid a dangerous condition, which the city's official announcement did not clarify.
