Fire Puts Menifee on the Map

Nothing like a 120-acre brush fire to put a sleepy little town on the map.

Since the fire has been extinguished, the photos and videos are making their way around the Internet.

I happened to find this one from Bill Gould...

This is the same Bill Gould that operates Full Value Entertainment, a local band agent, as well as his publication, "Full Value Review". He captured the billowing smoke on his camcorder, and submitted it to CNN, which subsequently plastered the video on their homepage to a billion viewers worldwide, depicting Menifee as exactly what the world thought: a paradise of single-wide trailers and dead weeds.

He writes on his blog that he plans to use events like this towards putting the Inland Empire on the map...

This 'next step' in opening up the Inland Empire to the outside world comes in the wake of a number of major stories broken (scooped) by the Full Value Review and many others that have been reported by the mainstream press after being first informed by The Review.
So now that the world has this "first hand impression" of Menifee painted into their minds, people will tell me, "Oh, you live out there."
