Heritage dominates on the ground in win over Cajon

Ika Tuatala rushed for 176 yards and 4 touchdowns and defensive back Carlos Ruelas made an interception in the final minute Friday night to help preserve Heritage High School's 41-36 victory over Cajon.

Ruelas fought a wide receiver for the ball and came down with it at the end of a see-saw second half as the Patriots (3-2) defeated last year's CIF Division 4 champions. Heritage outscored Cajon 22-16 in a wild fourth quarter.

Kenny Teter added to Heritage's ground game with 154 yards and 2 touchdowns rushing. Quarterback Trey Goodlow rushed for 89 yards. The Patriots finished the game with 453 yard rushing.

Next week Heritage plays at Elsinore.
