The City of Menifee enjoyed an increase in sales tax revenue in the second quarter for the fourth consecutive fiscal year, city officials announced.

Sales tax revenue for April, May and June increased 11.5 percent over the same quarter a year ago. According to a news release, the increase is five times greater than the county-wide increase and almost four times greater than the Southern California regional increase.

"Our sales tax revenues have continued to increase year over year by double digit percentages and a a faster rate than the regional, county and some surrounding communities, said Jeff Wyman, economic development director for the City of Menifee. "This validates Menifee's growing economic force."
