Story updated at 3:20 p.m. with identity of the deceased and photo of suspect:

A man is dead and a woman is in custody after a shooting inside a McDonald's restaurant in Menifee Friday night, police said.

The incident occurred about 6:07 p.m. at the McDonald's in the 28000 block of Bradley Road, just south of McCall Boulevard in the Sun City community of Menifee. Amanda Harwood, 35, of Big Bear (left) was taken into custody at the site and booked into the Southwest Detention Center for murder. Bail is set at $1 million.

The Coroner's Office on Saturday identified the deceased as Joseph Henning, 39, of Murrieta. A source working on the investigation said they appeared to be at the restaurant together.

Police conducted interviews of employees and witnesses who were inside the restaurant as the area was roped off with yellow tape. Bradley Road was closed in both directions as the investigation began. The body of the victim remained inside the restaurant until after 10 p.m., when the Coroner's van arrived.

Employees were walked to their cars after being interviewed by police and left without commenting to the media. Just before 10 p.m., the only vehicle left in the McDonald's parking lot -- a silver or light blue Ford sedan -- was towed away after being examined by an investigator (below).

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to call Investigator Stoyer of the Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777 or Investigator Plumier of the Menifee Police Department at 951-210-1000.
