Menifee Lions Club Elects Officers, Announces Projects

Officers have been elected and announced for the newly chartered Menifee Valley Lions Club.

The service organization will hold meetings on the first and third Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. in the LCL Realty Building, 28057 Bradley Road. The public is invited to come and be part of the group, which will be working on many service projects in the community. Monthly dues are $10.

Tail Twister -- Denise Locke
Lion Tamer -- Kathy Leidike
Director of PR -- Robbie Motter
Director of Membership -- Linda Bednar and Diane Swarts
Director -- Joan Ring

One of the club's first projects is to collect shoes of all kinds for men, women and children. Locations are being sought to place collection boxes in the community. If you are willing to have a collection box at your place of business or have shoes to donate, call Deborah Ramshur at 253-670-3175.

The other major project is to collect eyeglasses of any kind, including sunglasses, and eyeglass cases. Tabs from beverage cans are also being collected. If you have any of these items to donate, contact Marty Lanz at 951-757-6486.
