Sun City Concern Volunteers Deliver Holiday Meals

Expanding a volunteer service that has included Thanksgiving dinners in the past, the staff and volunteers of Sun City Concern today delivered Christmas dinners to 115 seniors in the area.

According to Jack Corlett, meals were taken to home-bound seniors in Sun City, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Perris, Hemet and San Jacinto. Costo donated 10 turkeys and the rest of the meals were purchased by Sun City Concern, which serves area seniors throughout the year.

Food was prepared next door at Boston Billie's Restaurant and delivered by 16 volunteer drivers.
