Crew Receives Minor Injuries in Sheriff's Helicopter Crash

Riverside County Sheriff's Department personnel received minor injuries today when a Sheriff's helicopter crashed during a training exercise.

The accident occurred at 11 a.m. while the helicopter was low-flying over the Hemet/Ryan Airport runway, according to a news release. The number of officers injured was not reported. They were treated at a local hospital.

Cause of the crash is being investigated by the FAA.
