Woman Found Slain in Temecula Residence; Suspect Arrested

Police arrested a suspect in a nearby shopping center after discovering a woman dead inside a residence in Temecula today.

Temecula Police officers responded to the report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 27000 block of Nellie Court. They found a deceased female inside the residence. A short time later, a resident called to report the sighting of a person who fled the seen. The suspect was arrested a short time later.

Investigators from the Temecula Police Department and Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

The identification of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information was released. The identity of the suspect is also being withheld.
