On Feb. 14-15 they are offering free shredding for your first shoebox full of paper. Just bring in a standard size shoebox no larger than approximately 10” x 8” x 5” and they will shred it for you for absolutely free.
How does it work?
You can bring your documents in a box or a bag and Postal Annex will weigh it, as shredding is charged by the pound. From there they place the documents in a locked bin. Once the bin is full they contact their supplier who shows up in a truck with a shredder in the back and shreds the documents on site. When he is finished he provides Postal Annex with an official proof of destruction letter to assure your private paper is kept that way.
Shredding is ordinarily charged by weight at 99 cents per pound. Right now they are having a special for 20 percent off shredding services, which brings your cost down to only 79 cents per pound. So bring in all those old documents and get to shredding.
