Detectives from the Riverside County Sheriffs Central Homicide Unit are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in an open field in Homeland Friday night.

The identity of the Hispanic male adult has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Deputies responding to the report of a dead body at 5:20 p.m. found the man near Juniper Flats Road and Falcon View in an area east of the Romoland community of Menifee.

According to police, the male victim had sustained traumatic injuries that caused his death. The investigation revealed the victim had been kidnapped from his residence, located in the 20800 block of Orange Avenue in Mead Valley, on or about Nov. 7.

Detectives from the Perris Station, Hemet Station, and Central Homicide Unit are working the case. No suspects have been arrested.
