During Menifee Police Department's DUI/Driver's License checkpoint on July 5, eight drivers were cited or arrested for driving without a license and nine more were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license.

The checkpoint was held at Newport Road and Lone Pine Drive between the hours of 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.

- 1310 Vehicles Screened
- 141 Vehicles sent to secondary inspection
- 14 Field sobriety tests administered
- 1 DUI-Alcohol suspect arrested
- 8 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed
- 9 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle while suspended/revoked
- 16 Vehicles towed
- 1 Person arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant
- 1 Person arrested for possession of a hypodermic needle
