Both the boys and girls basketball teams from Heritage High School received at-large berths in the CIF Southern Section playoffs, which begin later this week.
The Patriots boys team, 10-13 overall, will play at Murrieta Valley, which finished second in the Southwestern League. The Nighthawks are 19-7 overall. That Division 2AA game will start at 7 p.m. Friday.
In girls basketball Division 2AA, Heritage (16-9) will play at Hacienda League champion Bonita. That game will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. The Bearcats went undefeated in league play and are 22-5 overall.
