Second Left Turn Lane on Westbound Newport Road Opens

Looking east on Newport Road, one can see the extension of the second left-turn lane from Newport to southbound Haun Road, leading westbound vehicles toward the Countryside Marketplace.

Construction crews opened an extended second left turn lane from westbound Newport Road toward southbound Haun Road Tuesday. The move is designed to relieve some of the congestion on Newport in time for the Black Friday shopping rush at Countryside Marketplace.

Final street surfacing will take place after the holiday weekend, but the lane is now open.
