February’s non-profit of the month is the Hungarian International Club. Registered as a non-profit 501 (c), the organization aims to orchestrate fellowship for local senior citizens of European descent.

Membership, however, is not limited to those of European affiliation and invites all senior citizens to come socialize and enjoy a taste of old world cuisine.

The first official meeting was held in December of 1999 and has gained many members since. Gatherings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 1:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge off of McCall Boulevard.

Each meeting provides a homemade lunch and dessert, musical entertainment, a prize raffle, and of course, good company.

Twice yearly they host larger scale social events including the Gala Ball in the Spring and the Grape Harvest Ball in October.

The Club functions on membership dues and donations. Each monthly gathering is put on and organized by members volunteering their time and efforts. The Club exists to help and support their members, please contact Jo Ann Semegi at (951) 679-1995 for more information.
