Once in a while a dog’s name will match his personality more so than his stature, which makes us smile in amusement. Today’s pint size pet of the week weighs in at less than ten pounds but goes by the much bigger name of Killer.
What he lacks in size, he makes up for in personality. This little guy has a lot of heart and would love to share it with you.
Adoptable pet of the week, Killer
Name: Killer
Breed: Chihuahua mix
Age: 7 years
Gender: Male, neutered,
Temperament: Despite his bold name, Killer is actually very sweet in nature. He is good with other dogs and loves children too. At seven years old he is quite mellow and quiet.
Killer’s story: Killer was brought into Sun City K9 from Park City back in October. It was discovered that he was micro-chipped and his owner was contacted.
However the owner informed SCK9 that her family no longer wanted a dog and they would not be coming to pick Killer up. Now he sits in his kennel waiting for a new family to come find him.
Sun City K9 is a non-profit, no-kill rescue functioning from the kindness and compassion of the community. You can easily contribute to their cause though their website, as detailed here, or another option is to donate your time.
The shelter is always in need of volunteers to help clean kennels, walk and play with the animals, and also to simply give them love. The gift of your time would be appreciated as much as any monetary donation.
