I received the following question from Crystal Hoyes regarding La Ladera Park...
My mother and I walk the track at La Ladera Park every morning and we where just wondering if anyone knew the length of the track (for example wither its 1/4 of a mile 1/2 of a mile). If anyone is able to answer our question it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

  1. Does anyone wonder why the La Ladera park does not have any lights over the play area???

  2. The lack of lighting over the baseball and soccer fields was done purposely to prevent people from playing late into the night, out of respect for the homeowners living directly across the street.

  3. I LOVE OUR NEW PARK, HOWEVER, I WAS QUITE UPSET, DRIVING HOME THE OTHER NIGHT TO SEE, THAT THERE A PERSON RIDING THEIR MOTOR-CYCLE ON OUR NEW "WALKING TRAIL" I WOULD LIKE TO SEE US ALL BAN TOGETHER, TO CONFRONT THOSE WHO THINK IT IS A MOTO-CROSS TRACK !!!

  4. I Agree, as much as i like moto-x, (like on TV) There's gotta be a better place for these guys to ride!

I've still got little kids, who are terrified everytime they fly by my house. I think they remove their mufflers to attract even more attention. I don't get it.

on a side note: you can see some pictures of the LaLadera grand opening at my site:

    p.s. love this site!

  5. I just wanted to say as a resident of that immediate area that I am very pleased with the park. I am also pleased with the four way stop sign intersection at the corner of Country Fair and La Ladera Road. This has slowed traffic down alot around the park area and neighborhood. I would really like to see a police presence around the park though...Just the other day there was some guy wearing prison issued sweat pants, a tank top and showing off all of his prison ink while he played basketball. I don't care that he was tehre to play ball but he walked into the playground area and was looking at children and their mothers making comments to his friends about hot soccer moms! I felt this was ridicoulous and he was probabley in some sort of violation of his parole or probation standards. There is no need to dress like that at the park, all that does is attract more of the wrong crowd and unwated rif-raf in our community and park.

  6. Some loosers tagged all over the new park bathrooms and walls last week. This is really sad! I am so disgusted at this and hope these punks are caught. They can't even spell, so that shows thier IQ for you. We as a community should do something about this.

  7. I was excited when a pathway was going to be put in the La Ladera Park for walkers and joggers but now am very dissapointed that the pathway is not filled in with cement. I walked on the path which left my shoes extremely muddy and decided to walk on the grass but it was too soggy. I cannot believe that you did not cement the pathway in this beautiful park as it is absolutely useless the way it is. There are many that would like to walk on this path but won't for the very same reason that I will never walk on it again unless it is totally filled in with cement!

    Thank you
    A Home Owner

  8. Great park But need concrete on all walk ways. It is annoying to walk in the park then spend 20 min cleaning ones shoes.

  11. I did call The Chamber of Commerce and they gave me the number for Jeff Stone who is the Supervisor for the 3rd district here in Menifee. They assured me I would get a call back.No one has called back. More grafitti showed up by Freedom Crest School along the golf course and by the resevoir. I will continue to leave messages. Thanks!!
