Nearly 500 people were served a free turkey dinner in three shifts Thursday at the second annual community Thanksgiving dinner at Kay Ceniceros Senior Center.
More than 100 volunteers served the meals, which were prepared by Tony Falco and his staff at Accurate Leak Locators, Inc., the major sponsor of the event. Residents who signed up for seatings at either noon, 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. were served at the event, which was also sponsored by the City of Menifee, Interfaith Council and representatives of the senior community.
Gloria Sanchez (right) welcomed residents and helped coordinate the work of volunteers, wearing orange shirts. The community dinner, created by Falco last year, helped spread a feeling of community among residents.
