Menifee city officials said today that the mile-long stretch of Menifee Road known previously as the "Missing Link" will be opened to the public next Wednesday or Thursday, March 19-20.
Construction of the stretch of road from Simpson Avenue southbound to Aldergate Drive is complete. That includes paving and striping of the road. The final phase of the project is the installation of traffic signals.
"Road closed" signs are posted at both ends of the new road. Motorists are asked to obey these signs until the road is officially opened. Meanwhile, here's a video of how the drive looks southbound from Simpson to Aldergate.
