Three DUI-Alcohol Suspects Arrested at Menifee Checkpoint

Three drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and 10 drivers were either cited or arrested for license infractions Friday night during a DUI/Driver's License checkpoint in Menifee.

The Menifee Police Department Traffic Unit conducted the checkpoint at Newport Road and Murrieta Road between the hours of 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. Checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence and provide the greatest safety for officers and the public.

Here are the results of the checkpoint, as reported by police:

-- 1,532 Vehicles Screened
-- 40 Vehicles sent to secondary inspection
-- 13 Field sobriety tests administered
-- 3 DUI-Alcohol suspects arrested
-- 7 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed
-- 3 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle while suspended/revoked
-- 7 Vehicles towed
-- 1 Suspect arrested for felony false vehicle registration documents
