MSJC Concert Band to Perform Spring Concert May 21

Solo performances from talented band members will be in the spotlight when the Mt. San Jacinto College Concert Band, directed by Robert Waner, performs its spring concert Tuesday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the theatre on the San Jacinto Campus, 1499 N. State St., San Jacinto.

Featured soloists will be flutist Lynn Kelly performing Claude Dubussy's "Syrinx," Richard Royce playing the euphonium solo "Danny Boy," and Tamara Royce performing "Concertino for Flute" by Cecile Chaminade.

The band will also showcase a lesser known march of Sousa, "The Free Lance March," Hollywood composer Warren Barker's "By The River's Bend," selections from The musical "Cats" and a return to the 1970's in Michel Legrand In Concert.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. in the theater. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket prices are General Admission $6, Seniors $5, Students $4, and under 18 Free.
