Ted Davis got this close-up shot of a red-tailed hawk as it perched high above Evans Ranch Elementary School one morning in mid-December. Ted says he has photographed this bird -- or one like it -- several times around the school.
Ted tells his grandson, who attends the school, that the hawk has "got an eye on you!"

Awesome! When I pick my daughter up from her after school we see this or another hawk always perched at either the Stop Light or atop one of the Lamp Post. We always look for our friend the hawk:)
