Menifee 24/7 will give voters perhaps their last opportunity to hear all the city candidates in one neutral setting before the election when we host a candidates forum on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Held just a few days before mail-in ballots for the Nov. 6 election are distributed, this event will take place in the auditorium at Paloma Valley High School beginning at 6:30 p.m. Menifee residents are invited to attend and hear the candidates for mayor and city council discuss local issues heading into the election.

All nine candidates are expected to attend, including:

Mayoral candidates: Darcy Kuenzi, Scott Mann, John F. Smith.

District 1 city council candidates: Greg August, Sue Kristjansson, Nick Martin, Carol Sullivan.

District 3 city council candidates: Wallace Edgerton, Bill Zimmerman.

All candidates will be given an equal opportunity to respond to questions from a moderator, both general in nature and specific to the position they are seeking. In addition, audience members may fill out cards with questions and submit them for consideration. This structured and balanced format will provide residents with the opportunity to hear all the candidates' stance on key issues without distractions or personal attacks.
If you have questions for a candidate you would like considered in advance for submission that night, email them to doug@cleardigitalmedia.com. Remember, all questions submitted both in advance and the night of the forum will be screened to make sure they are appropriate. No questions or comments with personal attacks on anyone will be permitted.

Remember the date: Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Paloma Valley High School, 31375 Bradley Road.
