The nomination period for Menifee's upcoming General Municipal Election opened last week and continues through the close of business on Friday, Aug. 10. The city clerk's office is taking appointments for those wishing to pick up an official packet of nomination papers.
Three positions will be on the ballot for the election in November: Mayor at large, council member of District 1 and council member of District 3. A candidate for the office of mayor must be a registered voter in the City of Menifee. A candidate for District 1 must be a registered voter in District 1 and a candidate for District 3 must be a registered voter in District 3.
